Vaccine questions

Is the flu shot free in Ontario?

Yes. The flu shot is free for everyone who lives, works or goes to school in Ontario. At the pharmacy we can give it to anyone 2 years and older. Just bring your Ontario health card.

Can I get my flu shot and COVID-19 vaccine at the same time?

Yes. Both can safely be given at the same visit, one in each arm. It saves you a second trip.

Am I eligible for a free RSV vaccine?

Ontario offers free RSV vaccines to older adults who meet age and health criteria, and eligibility can change from season to season. Text us, call, or ask at the counter and we’ll check for you. If you’re not eligible, we can still give it with a prescription, and many private plans cover it.

Is the shingles vaccine covered by OHIP?

Shingrix is publicly funded for Ontario seniors in the eligible age range. Outside that range, many private drug plans cover it. We’ll confirm your coverage before your first dose. It’s given as two doses, 2 to 6 months apart.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. Vaccines are by appointment so your shot is ready and there’s no waiting. Text or call us to book a time, including for the whole family.

What should I bring?

Your Ontario health card, your private insurance card if you have one, and any vaccination record you have. For travel vaccines, bring your itinerary.

Ready for your shot?
